The Postern Gate, York Jd Wetherspoon.

We enjoyed breakfast and some beers in the evening next to the Travelodge. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was a wonderful night with a lovely atmosphere, especially since it was student night. We plan to return soon after the holiday shopping rush, as York tends to be quite busy this time of year, making it somewhat of a victim of its own popularity.

Great vibes, affordable prices, and excellent service! The beer is really inexpensive compared to other pubs we've visited. Plus, there's a fantastic atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning!

You can't beat Wetherspoons for value for money. This location has a lovely outdoor seating area by the river, which enhanced the experience. I ordered through the app and the service was as expected.

The food was excellent, ordinary fast service. Good selection of real Ales. Good view from the garden by the river.

Visited here quite a few times on a recent break in the area. Never had bad service. Staff always friendly and quick to clean tables/ remove glasses etc. Sometimes a little wait for drinks but staff were obviously working hard and better service than most places whilst it was extra busy during the heatwave. Good gluten free options available and easy to order on the app.
