We saw the rooms and were very old and the bathroom was terroriphic. The carpets next to the beds were so dirty that I felt disgusting. The receptionist was not interested in our reservation at all. We went to Chaac Calakmul.
Read great reviews, probably from high season when there are many activities. With my daughter for a late lunch before you go to our Chicana Eco Village hotel. No one was in, except a waitress with her back to us. I was relegated to Spanish when they were open, as the hours that were painted outside were inexplicably 6 am to 12 pm (it was 3 pm). She said yes without turning around. We sat. She never came to our table and I had to talk to her from anywhere. She never spoke to us. I had to call her every time. My daughter wanted Enchiladas, which is probably a mistake for the Yucatan. But I ordered them to share. When she finally brought her, they dug a dry cattle bunk on the table with terrible rice and a stain of black beans and guacamole on the side and some tortillas on the side. Then left without saying anything. It was obviously not Enchiladas. But then I didn't care, and we did some tacos with the dry meat. And of course you had to ask for another record. At the time for the tab, she grunted the sum. Never gave me a break. I paid with a credit card for the butt of him and she gruffly asked for identification and checked my license for about 5 minutes at the switch. Yes I flew a thousand miles and drive hours to the middle of nowhere to rip you off for a $11 lunch. Terrible. I'm glad we weren't there. We were pleasant and thanked her all the time. She never thanked or even asked us, is everything.
Perfect spot after a hot and sticky 24 hours exploring the Calakmul site. The pool was lovely and. The rooms are very comfortable. Extremely good value. The English translations of the swimming pool rules are an entertaining bonus.
We ate lunch at this restaurant/hotel on our way to the nearby ruins. The meal selection is typical Mexican with a decent price. We ordered a sandwich and omelet. Both orders were quite good. They do not accept credit cards. Only cash.
