Nan King - Wuppertal

Put my 93-year-old companion down the plate with two bests. My companion wants to give me 1 cutlery. The operation takes the cutlery out of the hand without comment and bangs it to the left of the plate, with the knife lying transversely on the fork. The food is good. Only too many onions, too little vegetables, are processed. What do onions have to do with duck? Onions are cheap? If my companion wouldn't like to go there because it's close to the apartment, I wouldn't enter this place anymore. I don't know where the service has learned Gastromonie!?

The staff is friendly and polite, but unfortunately it lacks attention and speed. On a Saturday afternoon, only about a third of the tables was occupied, we were asked for our drinks only after ten minutes. Overall, the service was very slow, the waiting times for the individual courses were unacceptable. The dishes themselves were very tasty, there was nothing to complain about.

We have been going there for decades, the children of the owners have seen growing up. The extensive buffet is always delicious. Drinks, service, everything super. Everything clean also in the WC area. Large terrace for summer with view. Hopefully we'll have a long time.

Tastefully, the food at Nan King was very good for buffet meals. But the selection is mau, there are better alternatives at the same price (China City (Schwelm , Yellow River (Solingen), where the buffet is more than three times as large and tastefully equivalent to better. Besides, it was very warm in the restaurant. We were really sweating. That it was tight and full in the restaurant did not make it better. Cosy sitting is not possible, as it is very narrow and therefore very loud. I don't have to go again. For a spontaneous visit, if the restaurant is nearby, it is completely fine.

We live near the restaurant and sometimes go to dinner as a couple. Mostly under the week and then buffet. The selection is average, no food change for years. Everything is well tempered and mostly fresh. As a rule, it is quickly refilled. On weekends or when many guests are there, it doesn't work so well. Price/performance is okay. Come with drinks at about 45€. Locality bright, ambience typical, cleanliness okay, operation okay, sometimes unobtrusive. In summer tables in the outdoor area. All in all a recommendation with smears.
