Windham Mountain

We drove 2.5 hours to go snow tubing as a family and booked the first two-hour time slot (11 AM to 1 PM). You'd expect everything to be up and running before opening, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The magic carpet wasn't operational, so everyone had to walk up the hill for the first half hour. Then, they stopped all sledders from going down to fix the carpet; it took one guy with a hammer and a team of 11 watching the process a whopping 45 minutes. This left us all just standing around waiting with no updates from the staff at Windham. They only mentioned they would give us two full hours with the magic sled, but when our time came, we were combined with the group scheduled from 1 PM to 3 PM, resulting in double the crowd. It felt like a waste of time and money. I recommend going to Hunter instead—$25 per person rather than $40, and you'll get a longer hill, a functioning carpet, and a much more competent staff. Windham didn’t offer any refunds or compensation for the inconvenience.

My wife and I decided to go tubing while I was recovering from a leg injury. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, the tubing lanes were quite disappointing. They hardly provided enough slope to get down fully, and it didn't feel like much of a hill at all.

I absolutely love the summer ski lift rides! The views of the nearby towns and mountains are stunning. There are hiking trails that connect one mountaintop to another, which is fantastic. It's also a hotspot for mountain biking down the slopes. I believe the round trip ticket was around $20. I must mention that every employee was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing information about all the trails and more.

Great mountain for the Catskills. Awesome lift system moves a ton of people. That said it is close to NYC and can be busy but that’s anywhere in New England.Basic lodge and nice restaurant that takes reservations.Don’t miss the Mac and cheese truck.

Great skiing, beautiful and varied trails. Better trails and layout than hunter in my opinion. However, lift service can improve, several lifts are a bit slow and break down. This leads to long lines at the bottom... With better lift service this mountain would be perfect.
