The Dove Inn - Winchester

We booked a couple of nights at The Dove Inn as my wife and her friend were doing a tour of the local gin distillery. What a lovely find Charlie the landlord, his wife, all the staff and locals were really friendly and welcoming. Over the two days we had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal and all were delicious and it was particularly nice to try authentic Polish food, beer and even whisky, which Charlie opened especially for us to try. Clean and comfortable rooms, a quiet and relaxing location couldn't ask for more. Possibly the best stay in a pub I've ever had so well done to everyone and thanks for making our stay such a lovely experience!

Staff were so lovely and helpful Food was beautifully cooked and presented. Rooms were quirky and comfortable. Clean and welcoming.

My sister and I spent one night here and found the entire place to be fantastic! We arrived late and were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The room was delightful, clean, and had everything we needed. After checking in, we enjoyed a drink in the beer garden (we highly recommend the passion fruit cloudy lemonade – we don't drink much, so the variety of non-alcoholic options was much appreciated). The beer garden was beautifully decorated, showing great thought in its design. Breakfast the next morning was also lovely, with plenty of options to choose from and delicious food. Overall, our experience was fantastic and we only wish we could have stayed longer! If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and the food was excellent. It reminded me of my travels in Poland. I am writing this review as I sit with my wife in the restaurant after just finishing our meal on July 23rd.
