Plaza Azteca - Williamsburg

The restaurant had a dedicated menu section for vegan and vegetarian options. They offer vegan cheese and meat substitutes. I ordered the vegan bowl and it was delicious!

I believe that the intention behind the menu was good. Although it initially seemed promising with a fantastic selection, I was disappointed to find that all options were vegan when I placed my order. I ended up trying the vegetarian enchiladas made vegan, but was ultimately left unsatisfied with a dish of steamed vegetables in a flour tortilla.

There were two vegan options on the menu, a vegan bowl and vegan tacos, and they were delicious! However, there was a mix-up as they thought tofu was vegan cheese, so it was served on both meals. This was a disappointment for the children who had ordered Quesadilla with vegan cheese, as they were expecting something different. The tofu was not a suitable substitute for the cheese.
