Curry & Pizza - White Rock Peak

We booked the table for six people, strange combination, but the food was very flavorful, we decided to have curries and kiddos tried the pizzas, service was good and, everything seems to be fresh. Portions were larger than many of the other places we tried and seemed like better value. Highly recommended.

Fish tikka was dreadful! It was like frozen fish pieces marinated and microwaved. They had been no near a tandoor oven. No crunchy, Bbq'd crispy, charcoal texture at all. I get that things can sweat when being delivered. But it arrived in at least a centimeter of water/liquid. Prawn masala was more like jarred baby food. Orange slop. Prawns (6) were like frozen Coles baby ones. Not large, King or fresh. Dhal was a runny watery mess. The naan bread was more like roti. Thin, rubbery, tough texture. Again, not freshly baked in a tandoor with crunchy, light, crispy bread texture. Some kind of salad was given, yet it was just a quartered onion, not thinly sliced. Chunky tomato and spinach leaves. I ended up cooking some rice as I needed to try and eat these watery tasteless dishes. Naan bread normally is enough to pick up food. Nothing tasted fresh, not a single fresh herb. Did I mention runny and watery! I ended up throwing it all out. Waste of $54! I felt sick as the fish didn't taste cooked! See picture attached. Never again. Sorry!

Food was well priced but we choice all dishes to be medium hot and they were too hot for most of us.

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times really enjoyed the Indian food and the staff were great. Friends have had the pizza and said it was good. The prices are reasonable and quantity is enough. But, somehow the atmosphere is not right....maybe the lighting or....who knows.

Done be fooled by the name or decor of this restaurant . They make excellent curries as well as pizzas. Staff are friendly and attentive but not to so. This has become a regular venue for family dinners. We have tried many of the curry options and have not been disappointed.Decor and Atmosphere - does not ring any bells but we are not there for that. They are working with the base of many years of cafes, none of them did any better with improving decor despite multiple attempts. Worth a visit.Also do take away
