OMG! An amazing find and a really gem. A relaxing and ambient space. Staff are very professional, tentative and accommodating. 4 of us had dinner, which I have to say was superb. The choices on the menu were fantastic and the desserts wow. Definately returning for a second visit.

Got the rib eye steak. With mash and veg. Very tasty. My wife got the seafood chowder. Also tasty. Just perfect was her description. We also had the special Thai beef salad. Lovely.

Fantastic meal, brilliant service highly recommend carriages restaurant 5 star all the way.

Tonight was my first visit. Booked in for 8pm, table for 4, met by staff downstairs, asked if I was being looked after, said I had table booked in restaurant, waitress showed me to restaurant, was seated, given menus, told of specials, served drinks, food was lovely, piping hot on arrival, waitress was super, noticed that there was time for a little chat for each table. Didn't feel under time pressure to eat, pay leave....was a lovely relaxed atmosphere...would recommend to friends will return. Well done
