Monica is such a joy, she always make sure to come out of the kitchen and visit with all customers. I have an admiration with her staff and menu. The homemade linguini is absolutely to die for with marinara. We love coming here and love to support Monica!! A favorite restaurant for sure!!
There were 8 of us so we had several things. The Pasta Carbonara was excellent as was the Caesar salad. Other people has chicken parm, and eggplant. The tomato basil soup and the minestrone were also excellent. The garlic bread was good and I think it came with the meal. The service was friendly. We enjoyed everything until the bill. They messed up and charged things twice and to the wrong people. It was a mess and it took forever to get it straightened out. And I mean forever. Only real negative.
In my humble opinion this is the best restaurant in town. Everything tastes fresh BECAUSE IT IS! The staff are always so nice and what I really respect is Monica herself on the floor. Nothing feels more authentic and local than this place.I took my visiting friends here and they loved it! And, thank you to the waiter who gave very detailed instructions on reheating the Trevis.
My wife and I stopped in at about 130 pm on a Sunday afternoon. The place is easy access right off S Main street, near the highschool, and it has plenty of parking and a drive thru also. When we arrived probably a little over half of the tables were filled with customers. The waitstaff seated us near the door, by the bar. The tables were situated diagonally which made it difficult to navigate to my seat, the restroom, or the bar. The waitstaff got our drink order quickly, and we ordered a couple of appetizers. I ordered a prosciutto and rosemary flatbread and my wife ordered bruschetta with mushrooms. The rosemary flatbread was ok, but I expected more rosemary taste and for the bread to be toasted. I liked the prosciutto and it came with kalamata olives and a little artichoke. I was not in any way a fan of the bruschetta. It was served with a pasty substance comprised of microscopic pieces of mushroom and probably some sort of pesto smeared on pieces of bread. The flavors did not gel in my opinion. I ordered chicken parmesan with linguine pasta and marinara. My wife ordered chicken ravioli and asked to have the aforementioned micro-shrooms to the alfredo sauce. The chicken parm was rubbery, probably due to being microwaved, and tasteless probably due to being something purchased frozen, en masse and nuked to order. The pasta was done well but the marinara was super sweet which really turns me off. The chicken ravioli had a good taste and the added micro-shrooms did a good job on the overall dish. The meal wasn't overly expensive, but I am not sure if we got our money's worth. I guess all in all it wasn't terrible, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go there.
Wife and I split a meal here. Caeser salad was big and delicious and the bread was outstanding too but we were surprised that you had to pay separate for both items as they would normally be included. Actual food was not good. Portion was small, too. Disappointing. If we go again, we'll get the pizza.
