Ye Olde Smugglers Inne - Wealden

Popped in for a Sunday roast for a it of a treat as we haven'tbeenhere for a while. Very good service and welcome from the young barmaid. Started with soup which was excellent. Sadly the roast was among the worst I have had in recent times. The potatoes were totally inedible and the Yorkshire puddings were like leather, I would assume shop bought. My partner informed the barmaid whom was clearly embarrassed. Upon payment no mention of the complaint was made and no offer of a reduction of the bill was made. Clearly we won't be back for a long time.

Awkward as far as parking. Lovely, atmospheric place, shame I had to go across the road to buy some milk for my breakfast. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 4

Visited en route to France via Newhaven. Lovey pub with friendly staff . Good choice of beers . Great food. Highly recommended Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
