The Craft Lounge - Waukesha

We had an awesome server. The BLT could have used more tomato or mayo. It was dry. It is a great venue for live music.

The atmosphere resembles that of a creepy dungeon, and the server was not friendly and seemed annoyed taking my friend's and my order. We got the mimosa flights, and the flavor was decent but a bit overpriced for what you get. My wrap was pretty good. Overall not impressed, and I most likely would not return unless the service improved.

Went to the Craft Lounge. We've been there a few times. This time was real bad. Tonight's servers were not attentive, they were slow, and had no server skills. The bartender didn't do anything, he should make drinks, not just walk around and try to look cool. Three of us came in around 7, I wanted to try their fish plate and Old Fashioned flight they advertise, and all the tables had people at or were full of dirty dishes. We sat at a dirty table. Server dropped menus on the table, and asked what we wanted to drink, we had to ask that the table get wiped off. The menus were filthy. We ordered drinks, I had to ask about the Old Fashion Flight as it was never promoted like it was on the Facebook Page. Waited got the table wiped off, waited and got one soda, and waited and waited. There were ten people sitting at the bar, a table of 4 that had paid and was leaving, a table of two that took their bill to the bar because no one went back to check them out, another table of 4 that was finishing up, and a larger party with kids that was finished and chatting. The servers were at the bar, one was sitting, after she cleared two tables, and the bartender walked back and forth chatting with people, and didn't make a single drink the whole time we were there. We left it was 20-30 minutes of waiting while the staff did nothing. If the place was hoping and the workers were working, and hustling, it's one thing, but it was dead and I watched them mingle around and chat. I really want to like this place because they have great potential, (the last few times were good and the brussels sprouts are awesome), but the lack of cleanliness, and slow and inattentive staff, make it hard to go back. I have been in the service industry, the staff should want to make sure everyone has drinks and food, and should know and promote your food and drink specials. Tables should never stay dirty, as you want people sitting and spending money. We went down to Mainstream, and although it was a little slow getting the food, the place was packed, the servers and bartenders were always moving, and made sure you had a drink in front of you, there was also a manager that was checking on the bar and kitchen. I hope management can help train their people properly so the Craft Lounge can stay in business and the servers can make killer tips.

Peculiar smell throughout, bathrooms deplorable. We did like the drinks and the gal bartender was good but not sure if we'll be back.

Nothing spectacular about this place so there really isn 't anything to write home about but nothing negative either. It 's a good place if you 're looking to just sit and have a beer with a friend. The bartender was friendly and talkative.
