Ivy's Simply Homemade - Waterford

Ivy’s catered my retirement party over the weekend. Their level of service was excellent. They worked with me on the menu, during the ordering process, and on the delivery timing. From the day I ordered to the day the food was delivered, they were in touch to answer all of my questions. On delivery day, Karen coordinated with me and was right on time. She helped get it all set up, had some pointers on the serving flow, and did not leave until it was all ready for my guests. The food was nothing short of impressive. I enjoyed everything I sampled. I am not able to have gluten, so I actively polled my guests on their thoughts. Every last one had only good things to say. Many asked for the name of the caterer. Today is only two days after the event, and Karen has already emailed me twice to make sure it all went well. I would definitely use them again in the future!

I love ordering food or stopping by and grabbing something for dinner. My husband and I had a fantastic pandemic Valentine’s Day dinner from Ivy’s. I was ultra impressed when I was in bed with Covid and my friend lost her son. I reached out to Ivy’s via Instagram and told her what happened. She took care of everything from ideas on what to include to prepping it, filling out a card, and delivering it. The food is outstanding and the people here even more amazing. Thank you for all you do and being such a great part of our community. You are the best!

This is the second time I’ve ordered from here. The first time it wasn't that great so I decided to give it another try. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap with ranch instead of blue cheese. When to bite into my wrap and bit into a chicken bone. My tooth is throbbing. Literally so lucky my tooth isn’t chipped. A chicken bone in my Buffalo chicken wrap. I’m done.

Ivy’s did the appetizers for our wedding reception recently and they were delicious! Ivy thank you for being so accommodating!

Before the pandemic, I used to visit this restaurant nearly every day to enjoy their pre-made chopped pasta salad. Today, I returned for the same reason and was quite disappointed. The salad was literally overflowing with lettuce—so much so that I had to remove a large portion, which could have filled another salad. There were only two small slices of chicken, totaling no more than a quarter of a breast. The pasta and cheese amounted to barely an eighth of a cup, and there was just one slice of tomato, similar to what you’d find on a sandwich. The amount of bacon was decent, but overall, I feel like the balance was way off. I understand that the pandemic has been challenging for businesses, but having 15 cups of lettuce doesn’t make up for the lack of chicken and tomatoes. Everything still tastes fresh and delicious, but the proportions really need to be adjusted.
