Very good food! Chef is gracious snd very skilled. Seems like a great man to work for. Staff is friendly and make wonderful lattes in the morning. Croissants yum light flakey butter yum! Best is to order the berry yogurt bowl with the granola add a banana! Score Best breakfast we had almost every day the week we stayed. It was an incredible meal and kept us going on some days until dinner. definitely recommend as well as staying at the Renaissance Bay club hotel. Gym is fabulous. The pool and hot tub amazing. Staff out of this world customer service. We will be back again
Just returned home from an outstanding dining experience at Citrus. Chef Travis came to Citrus from Thomas Keller 's Ad Hoc restaurant in Yountville. He has really raised the bar in the East Bay with his menu and execution. The endive salad tonight has both red and green endive presented as a alternating tower of color interspersed with fruit and cheese; lightly dressed. Outstanding. My flatiron steak was seared exactly right and yummy accompanied veggies. My Sweetie told me she 's never had better seasoned steamed mussels (with frites). This is a hidden gem and NOT your parents hotel restaurant. Give- 'em a try. We 're going back for sure! Thanks Chef Travis and Manager Elias for great dining and bringing downtown food to Walnut Creek!
Located in the Marriott hotel adjacent to the Bay Club, we were starving after a long day of activity. Unfortunately, what could be a thriving foodie destination was sorely disappointing. One poor staff member trying to take orders, make drinks, answer questions, and deliver food last night. Of course the wait time was horrendous. I ordered the fish tacos $17) to go and although they were tasty, unappealing looking, sitting at the bottom of the box the were thrown into. People waiting everywhere at 7pm and this poor staff member doing an incredible job despite the fact he was alone. Much improvement to be had here.
WTH? First- we and several others returning to the hotel from working had to FIND grill staff to wait on us. They were socializing with co- workers and that’s where we walked upon them discussing their customers. Very unprofessional. Food- worst we’ve had in a hotel of this so called caliber- seriously. Couldn’t even eat it. Burnt, soggy, just plain inedible. And that mess cost us 30 bucks. Def sharing with hotel management. We need access to food while here among Covid so we will be moving to another hotel in Pleasant Hill that has options within walking.
