Great food. Beautiful setting. Definitely recommend.

Hilo Bay Cafe has the island's best cheeseburger. Don't miss their house-made pickles, though—they're not on the burger by default, but ordering a side is a must. Trust me, it takes a good burger to DILL-icious.

Nice food selection for dinner. I had the Parmesan custard for appetizer which is enough for two. Gooey, delicious and rich. Now my new favorite.

Only giving 4 stars because the food can be inconsistent sometimes. I know because I come here all the time, it’s probably my favorite restaurant in Hilo. They have really yummy options that are reasonably priced to match the portions and quality. I love that they rotate thier menu items and have awesome drink specials. The staff is awesome and kind, great ambiance and the miso butterfish salad is my favorite salad of all time. Sometimes the food can come out room temp, or take too long and the brussels have been over cooked and oily the last few times i ordered : bummer because they have been yummy in the past. Overall this is a great place in Hilo and I always recommend it.
