Mcdowell's Cafe' Store - Waco

Rebeccah, our server was so incredibly kind and she showed that she very much cared about making sure that my son’s my experience here was nothing short of warm welcoming. my apologies if I spelled your name wrong . She and the entire staff are very respectful “yes sir, no sir” The atmosphere here is quite romantic, but you can dress casual if you prefer. It’s very clean and well maintained. All of the food is made entirely from scratch, and the presentation as well as the flavor of everything was perfect. My son had the chicken fried chicken, and I had the Brazos Valley Salad chicken fried steak. Both meals were spot on on every level. The area that this restaurant is located in is actually an entire village with a BBQ restaurant, general store, cheese shop, farm, and more. This was our first time here, and we did not expect to see all of what is here. The architecture here is quite beautiful and definitely worth a stop for a few hours to eat shop especially for you ladies out there . You’ll love it here. So glad we got lunch here today. We’ll be back with my wife. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Highly recommend!!

When in Waco go here to eat ! Despite being located temporarily in a different building because the cafe building burned down a few months ago the food remains fantastic as well as the pleasant and efficient service . The new cafe building is under construction !

Even the ketchup was homemade and our burger tasted wonderful! Looking for healthy choices and great taste, this is the place to go!

Closed unfortunately due to fire. Trip advisor should have been able to help announce this sad closure. We miss the beautiful people and local flavor
