Le Coligny - Vitré

It was so good to find a quality italian restaurant in France. I recommend the carbonara. A little way out of the town centre and serving the locals. A good evening.

We used to visit this restaurant in the evenings with our four teenage children but stopped going because of the long wait. Since then we have been as a couple at lunch time, one time it was ok but the second time we walked out because the service was so slow. Today I visited with my so, but once again we walked out as after waiting 25 minutes we still hadn't had our order taken or been asked what we would like to drink. When I asked why people who had arrived after us had already had their orders taken I was told it was because they needed to get back to work.I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt last time but will not be doing so again.

Superb. Lively, homey, spirited atmosphere. Food of the region well prepared and copious portions. Fine service. Fine rapport prix/qualite. A delight.

Never had a problem, here, usually have pizzas, very nice, fresh and crispy. nice beers, creme brulee, all good, staff nice eaten here prob a dozen times, never a bad meal. Plus point , often open when others are closed.

We needed a quick lunch whilst sight seeing. This was a mistake. The waitress was very efficient but rushed us into our choices. An omelet complet which was good and a steak which was dreadful. Sadly, this was French cuisine at its worst in a fly infested restaurant. We should have walked away.
