Contribuiți la feedbackEven after being told that the service was lousy, my co-workers and I decided that we wanted Italian for dinner. Since Marciano’s was near our work, we decided to give them a try anyway. Boy, were we wrong! The sign on the outside of the building says, “Happy Hour Sunday 12-6pm: Half Price Appetizers. (It did not state ‘where’ you had to purchase the appetizers or how you could purchase them). Our meal was purchased as a take-out, when we asked for the total over the phone, we were given what we thought was the correct price. Once I had arrived to pick up the order I was charged double. Although slightly annoyed, I politely paid the woman and asked her to please tell whoever had quoted us the meal price to please make sure that they gave out the right price for others. After bringing the order back, half of the clams in the order were still closed, and the calamari was slimy. When the food was returned for being undercooked, the owner (who was extremely rude) proceeded to tell me that we don 't want customers like you here, you 're just mad you had to pay full price . When I noted that it was uncalled for and that I was not upset at having to pay full price, he proceeded to PRY open one of the closed clams and tell me (as the slimy little creature slid out, what looked comparable to cracking an egg) that there was 'nothing wrong with the clams, I was just being ignorant '. I became very offended and replied, If you think those clams are good I want you to eat them, I had no problem until I noticed the food was undercooked. And I 'm not going to pay for something that isn 't cooked correctly. He then proceeded to go on and on “Do you know what the health inspector gave me, do you, we got an A for being so clean. I proceeded to reply that “you may be clean but your food is still undercooked, clams like those are what cause people to get sick . At this the owner told me that he was going to phone ban me and my co-workers because we could get our food some where’s else . At this point I was very annoyed with the owner’s attitude and the disrespect that he had for having someone notify him that the food was being undercooked. Instead of just replying with a simple “Ok, sorry, here’s your money back , he did not even acknowledge that the food was bad. REAL BAD! As far as this restaurant is concerned, I will not eat there again and I will be making sure to tell everyone I know that the owner has no concern for the well-being of his customers. All I can say is that I should have listened to what others had told me and spread the word that the restaurant is bad news.
I am a regular at Marciano's, having been a customer since their days as Luigi's. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I've never had a negative dining experience there. I frequently recommend it to friends and family, and not once has anyone come back to me with a complaint. While it's possible that mistakes can happen occasionally, I find it hard to believe that someone could visit this restaurant three times and have consistently bad experiences. If that were the case, why would they keep coming back? I wholeheartedly recommend Marciano's to anyone looking for delicious Italian food at a great price.
I've dined at this restaurant three times in the last three months, and unfortunately, each experience has been disappointing. On my first visit, I ordered the fish special, which was just mediocre, but the salad's wilted lettuce was particularly unappetizing. My second visit was solely for dessert; I anticipated peach cobbler, but what I received was more like gingerbread cake with peaches mixed in—definitely not what I expected and quite awful. Last night, I had the worst hamburger I've ever encountered. I understand it's an Italian restaurant, but if it's on the menu, it should be prepared properly. Additionally, the atmosphere is very noisy, and I have no intention of returning. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and the service left much to be desired.
This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I was looking for a new spot to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and was excited to discover this place online. Unfortunately, we were greeted with bent forks and dirty knives. My salad was barely enough to even cover the plate. I’m puzzled as to why my seafood lasagna, priced at $20, contained just half a scallop and three tiny shrimp. We left the restaurant feeling quite taken advantage of.
