Contribuiți la feedbackWe came to this restaurant because from the pictures it made us want to try this place. We were seated right away, as it was not busy. We were told a server would be with us momentarily. We sat there for 10-15 mins waiting. Servers were walking past us never stopped. Three other people came in after us, after we had been sitting for 10 mins, and as soon as they were there, no more than a minute or two, a server was right at their table. The firs server that had been walking past us went to the table behind us to clean it and we told her as well as the hostess why we were leaving. No response. This happened tonight 7/23/23. We went on to Procopios and was served immediately.
I joined my son several of his friends all students at VU) at Old Chicago to celebrate his 21st birthday graduation as well as their last night out farewell dinner before they all part ways for their next adventures in life. He I had also eaten here on his birthday last year. We came specifically for the “cheap eats” college student budgets! LOL) as they call Old Chicago’s Mon Thur late night “appetizer” specials. I’m writing this review because the previous ones on here are out of date and not at all accurate compared to our experience. There were several other large groups in the dining room But we were seated quickly our waitress was friendly, fast and attentive without being intrusive. She took our drink orders right away, brought them, we placed our orders. The food came out in a timely manner considering how busy they were. All the dishes were freshly made piping hot, no microwave reheating here!! The flavors were phenomenal the portions are huge!! Even my son who never leaves a crumb behind brought home leftovers. I consider it a big ‘win’ when I can stretch a meal into two or in this case) even three!! The Sicilian Rolls are perfectly light crispy with excellent amount of filling. The artichoke dip was gooey flavorful. The atmosphere is fun. The waitress turned on a basketball game they wanted to watch. The value of “price to size” was incredible!! He had Nachos, Rolls, a Zombie Dust $7 itself), Cheescake. I had the Rolls, Dip, water. Our bill including tax +20% tip was $41. In all fairness, I have not tried anything off the full menu. Both of our visits, being exactly a year apart in 2022 2023, have been great! I am eager now to try the Old Chicago’s near our home in Northern Indiana.
It's a pretty good place to eat. The pizza was good. They have quite a few appetizers. We had the pickle chips which were really good. Three of us were able to eat there for 60 bucks which included drinks so the prices were pretty reasonable. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and the staff was friendly and our server was willing to get us anything we needed as far as condiments and napkins and extra drinks. I would definitely recommend someone else to eat there sometime.
This place is huge. Large seating area. There’s outdoor seating as well. The place is located downtown. Looks like an old theater on the outside. The pizza is great. Fresh toppings. Cheese is perfect. You won’t find a better pizza in this town. I’ll be back to try the Detroit style. The staff was friendly and there to cater. This place also serves Coca Cola.
Nice place, would have loved to try the food, but after sitting for 10 minutes with 2 different servers walking past numerous times, we were not even greeted. When people came in after us and got service a few tables away we left. Sunday 7-23 evening and it was not very busy.Food: 1/5
