L'orangerie - Villandry

The vegetables were partly very hot and partly cold- not the famous French cuisine we‘d expected. The meat however was very nice. The apple tart for dessert was also quite nice. We were the only guests, however, in the beginning, we got the impression, we were disturbing the patrons hope for a free evening. When he‘d realized, we would remain the only guest and an early night was in sight, he became more friendly and even showed some humour.

We had the opportunity to have lunch in this small restaurant, despite arriving a little late we were very well received, fast service, efficient and the pizzas are excellent..

A group of 10 arrived for lunch after a visit to the castle of Villandry. The waitress was so helpful and friendly and managed to fit us in. She spoke some English so was able to explain the dishes to us. Everyone enjoyed their meal, especially the Oceanic Salade and the Carbonara Pàtes.The plat du jour was excellent quality for the price.

The only hic is to book, the closing days, there is a call transfer on another of their restaurant and when we arrived, our reservation had not been taken into account. Fortunately, tonight we were 8 and they were able to welcome us anyway.

A good atmosphere, good pizzas, gourmet dishes and pleasant services. We have a good evening, a useful address to spend a moment with friends or with a quiet family.
