Sugar Spice - Village of Horseheads

Terrible experience. After my last awful visit, I promised myself I would never return. Yet, a decade later, I decided to give it another chance. Big mistake. We were a party of seven—three of us ordered lunch and four ordered breakfast. They took a 15-minute break for the kitchen staff, and then, 30 minutes later, the waitress (who might be the owner) brought out the breakfast. Meanwhile, those of us who ordered lunch were patiently waiting for everyone to be served. The waitress remarked, "Aren't you eating? Why are you waiting? I don’t understand how you did that. The cook prepared breakfast and lunch separately." We didn’t say anything, and the restaurant was empty at the time. Seriously, what kind of establishment doesn’t serve all the dishes at the same time? This was one of the issues we encountered during my last visit as well. Back then, my breakfast order arrived an hour after everyone else had finished their meal. We ended up asking to cancel the breakfast and remove it from the bill, but the owner insisted it would be just a few more minutes.

"I had a fantastic experience! Even though the restaurant was busy, I was served quickly. The waitress was very friendly, and my coffee cup was always filled. The extensive menu has a wide variety of choices, but my favorite is the Eggs Benedict. We’ll definitely be returning regularly!"
