Sophia - Village of Amityville

What a tiny meal for $45.oo Very bland. Not even some

My husband and I have been going to Sophia's since it's opening. I have to say, the food and service is outstanding!! We were recently there on a Friday evening for what i thought would be an enjoyable dining experience. However, the atmosphere has severely declined. Kids running around through the place, loud music and drunk people running around in the bar with no apparent dress code really took away from the charm that Sophia's used to offer. Disappointed.

On Saturday, January 20th we had a reservation for 7:30PM at Sophia's, when we arrived at 7:15 the restaurant was chaotic, with a allot people in the doorway, as we asked about our reservation the gentleman at the front desk said we were not in the book and did not have a reservation. Also they were bring in folding tables for one of the rooms and there was a disagreement about a room being rented out that should not have been rented so the staff was having an argument, there also were a number of new waitstaff and other workers. I have been going to Sophia's for 8 years and never had my reservation denied and have not experience the chaos that was going on last night. Was wondering if Sophia has new ownership and management.

A wonderful dining experience. You would be lucky to have Jose and his crew for table service.
