Contribuiți la feedbackI was really attracted by a sign promising mediterranean food. I was expecting some good greek grilled fish, salad and vedgetables for a reasonable price. I eneded up with a Kebab and sticky rice. Apart from the fact that this is one of the few restaurants in VIenna that does not have an English menu (my fault that I don't speak German!). I asked for grilled fish and was only offered one dish (the most expensive on the menu) although there were plenty more on the menu. I ended up eating a pretty poor kebab and paying €14 for it and a beer. I am not going back there. There is nothing mediterranean about it!
With a wide variety restaurants located in its Old Town, settling upon a place at which to have dinner can be a real challenge.Upon seeing the restaurant, with the Greek-style writing on its sign, I immediately decided that this is where I wanted to eat. I researched the restaurant, as I always do. There were no TripAdvisor reviews, however it was mentioned in Rick Steves' guidebook. I decided to give it a shot.My friend and I were enthusiastically greeted by the owner, who suggested that we have their specialty, the Gyros plate. He also suggested some beer to us, which we also had.Upon seeing the food arrive, it looked extremely appetizing. The meat was moist and full of flavour. The tzatziki sauce was delicious. The rice was superb. The vegetables were very fresh. And the beer was perfect for a warm summer's evening. We left full, and satisfied with our choice. The service was fast, efficient, and most of all treated us as guests, as if we were visiting someone's home. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food, and cost around €15-20 each.Of note, the restaurant only takes cash, meaning that if you intend on paying by credit card, you are out of luck.
