Contribuiți la feedbackThis was my 7th visit to the Courtney Room. I keep returning because the breakfasts are very good in the morning and drinks are very good in the evening. Unfortunately, I've never received either without a significant wait time between ordering and delivery. Today, I waited 20 minutes for a continental breakfast to be served which is the norm. Servers are very friendly, but no one gets in a hurry. So, come for the great food, but make sure you have time to wait.
From the moment we arrived at The Courtney Room we were greeted with warm, friendly and professional service. The decor and atmosphere were stunning and elegant with a casual feel. Colin, on our wine pairing. Was knowledgable as well as passionate about his craft, Travis and Veronica were approachable and on point every step of the way during our experience. We will definitely be back. Well done Courtney Room.
Stick to the hot dishes. This place was talked up by both locals and the internet and it did NOT up to the hype. We had the tasting menu which we were really excited for. Usually a tasting menu is small portions of exquisite food. This was tiny portions of extremely mediocre food. I will say that the two hot dishes the pasta and lamb were very good but the flavours were nothing new. Everything was just blah. The one redeeming quality of the restaurant was the sommelier. I didn’t catch his name but he was so enthusiastic and the pairings were excellent. The couple next to us got what looked like an incredible steak dish so maybe the non tasting menu is good? Overall this place is absolutely not worth the price.
Came here with my 3 friends to celebrate one of their birthdays with a drink she's turning 36 years old. (Age comes into play for the one star review). The restaurant had 2 other small tables only and was quite dead, so the atmosphere wasn't great to begin with. The rest of us are 43, 33, and 31 years old but we were asked for ID. The 36 year old and 31 year old did not have ID, they hadn't been carded for years. The waiter refused to serve the ones without ID. The 43 year old asked if she would be refused a drink without ID and they said yes. I understand the laws but I also was a bartender. There's a point where you don't need ID to know someone is old more than old enough to vote. The two without IDs got non alcoholic drinks and we all got a story out of it. Our one round of drinks: 2 alcoholic and 2 non alcoholic, cost $70. Pretty certain I shall not be coming back, with or without ID.*photo from beginning of writing review
Wonderful options for both dinner and breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious! We enjoyed the oysters for the appetizer that were really fresh! Service was fantastic too!
