Fireside Grill - Victoria

I went here for brunch with a friend who had heard amazing things. The price point freaked me out a little bit, but boy was it worth every penny. We made a reservation for 12:15pm a couple days in advance and had no trouble getting a table. Alcoholic drinks were priced reasonably, and were beautifully made. We ended up eating so much delicious food! We had eggs benny's, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, housemade to order omelettes (brought to your table, no waiting!), crab legs, prawns, mussels, cheese, bread, meat slices, and a whole dessert table. I would recommend this to anyone!

In 20 years of coming here at least once a month, I have never had a bad meal, and service is always professional and attentive. Highly recommended, excellent farm to table seasonal menu.

We both had a hard time deciding what we wanted from the menu. Nothing seemed to jump out at us, as opposed to having a menu with a hard time choosing from multiple tasty sounding options. To start with, the host was abrupt, but our waiter Erin was charming. The Mediterranean pizza was excellent, but my warm prawn sandwich was not outstanding and the Caesar salad disappointing, and after realizing the total cost of our lunch at $85., and that was with two drinks each, we felt the whole event was overpriced. We'd expect to pay those prices for a dinner.

Met a friend here while down in Victoria on business. Sat outside on the patio enjoying the cool evening. Food was excellent (seafood linguini & baby back ribs). Definitely recommended.

When we go to the Fireside Grill, we usually select the three course dinner for $25. This time, because of some food allergies we have developed, we had to chose from the dinner menu. The menu is pretty stable and has not changed for quite a long time. We ordered lamb scaloppini and they were good, but again, the same as they were several years ago. Never mind, with a glass of a local beer (broad selection of those), we spent a nice evening with our friends, whom we have not seen for more than 15 years.
