Most of the choices are seafood, but then when you are overlooking the sea that is what can be expected. If you can sit outside (weather-wise) it's pure heaven, but even in the winter, you can sit in the restaurant's 1st floor and look at the sea.
We have been coming here through a succession of owners over the last twenty five years and whilst the food has varied from time to time, it has generally been very good. The son of the present owner is the proprietor and he has very able staff both in the restaurant and the kitchen. The food, which being on the sea front is mainly fish, is well prepared and served well and attractively. There is a choice of menus to suit most tastes and very good daily dishes of fish from the local fishermen. The wines are realistically priced and the first floor dining room has great sea views, as of course do the tables on the promenade. You cannot reserve on the promenade but they will usually find you a seat except on special days. You should always reserve to get a good table with views on the first floor.
Booked for 7pm but restaurant only started serving at 7.15pm, had a drink on the seafront promenade so not a great problem. Set menu at €29 is excellent value for 3 courses. Food was good as was the service. No rushing you to finish. All incall a good experience.
Restaurant well located. quality/price ratio satisfactory. correct kitchen and quantity of copy.
