The Crab Shell At The Venice Whaler

I have never experienced this bad service!! At first they didn't get the order. We had to call them ourselves, then Drunk-Server brought us very dirty dusty plate. I should have taken a picture, and she didn't feel sorry. I can't imagine how it's in the kitchen. Never back there!

I love this place! The crispy cods are yo dying. I'll go at least once a week. Always good moods, music and good service. Sunset time is magical

If you are looking for a fun atmosphere to have drinks overlooking the MDR beach on a summer afternoon, this is the place. I've been driving by for years and it always looked like a vibe with music rays and many people on the terrace with delicious looking drinks. I finally wanted to try. Eat 4/5: We got the ham and cheese slides that were really good and the shrimp ceviche was also good, but probably not again. It was on the sweeter than spicy side, so if you're looking for a kick, keep that in mind. Beverages 4/5: I have the watermelon margin made with fresh watermelon juice. It was refreshing, but something too sweet for my taste. My friend got the hot night drink, that's like a spicy jalapeño marg and she loved it. Atmosphere 5/5: Music was funny, sounded like it came from a DJ. But if you're not in loud music, it wouldn't be the place for you. Can't beat music and drinks overlooking the beach! Prices 2/5: Honestly very expensive, even for the area. $19 for the sliders who were on the appetizer menu. $16 for small glass of Margs. Spent $90 for 2 people and not leave full or flushed.

Just order a large dinner order from the dining window. When told about a 16-year-old house front, I can't sit in front and enjoy. After 40 years of living in Marina Del Rey, it is this stupid service that places like The Whaler doomt. Not happy whaler makes it better!

Cool place, great for people watching. It 's a little rough 'n ' ready but that 's half the charm, food was pretty reasonable, good beer selection, great music and service was ok. Good place to come and watch people as it 's permanently busy.
