Contribuiți la feedbackIt is relatively spacious, quiet and relaxed by Val d'Isere standards. The parsley-grilled whole Lobster was excellent. Fresh from her own 'vivarium' and so beautiful I had two days later. In the first night it was quite quiet; on Friday they were packed and although I had not booked, they managed to find a table. Service was friendly, but a little distracted. All usual Savoyard dishes are also available. Overall a more beautiful experience than the more obvious tourist places.
We're here twice. The first time I had a big red (I think) fish and the second time I had a spectacular, huge lamb.
Stay in Auberge for a week in early March. I can only say how wonderful the whole staff is, from the receptionist, Katrina, to the waiters and waiters. You really do an amazing job and should be highly praised. Katrina left her way to organize a cake for my daughter's birthday, which was beautiful. Also the chefs were very good for them a vegetarian and they had a very varied menu throughout the week in fact the food in general was super, huge portions but could not always finish! Breakfast was also great. My only complaint would be the size of our rooms. I stayed in some small rooms, but this one took the medal for the smallest. I think our two rooms were one at some point. Some other guests also mentioned this. There were no drying facilities in our room as the radiator was covered and the bathroom heater was not so great. The location of this hotel is perfect if our room was bigger, I would not hesitate to return, but I would certainly visit the restaurant again.
You would think ordering a meal would be straightforward. And that getting what you ordered would be a matter of course. Not, so it would seem, at the so called auberge Saint Hubert, where the starters were neglected because they hadn 't been typed into the machine ....What the machine spewed out would have been better left in the kitchen. A festive lamb shank with a stem of rosemary lampooned down its shaft; sad chips; and some Asian option served on a banana leaf. All in all, not the evening out we had hoped for.
INCREDIBLE HIGH LEVEL EXPERIENCE !! We visited this place Sunday the 6nd of March, just after arriving to Val. Here we had 3 type of meat on hot stone, thereto a pumpkin soup. Both were 5 on a 5 scale. Friday the 11th of March we came...back, and here we had the pleasure of an US Angus steak with potatoes and tomatoes, thereto a lamb steak. Both were 5 on a 5 scale. Before leaving Val yesterday the 12th of March I had Escargots in olive oil, parsil, garlic etc, it was my first test ever when it comes to escargots, and it really was fantastic !!! My wife had a Cesar salad and we joined a thai fishermans pot with mussels, crab and shrimp in a thai style arrangement with rice. Also here we have to give 5 stars on a 5 scale. The service were given by the owners aswell as from charming Fortaleza brasilian Elody, And the Mauritian kitchen chef where good and charming, aswell. Since this hotel/restaurant is placed right in the middle of VAL, and just at the other side of the road compaired with our hotel, our choice were obvious. AND GOOD !!! Nice classic interiors, good seating, good service. And good preparation of all dishes. Fantastisk oplevelse, både hvad angår mad, service, renlighed, siddekvalitet med mere. Vi afgiver max antal stjerner for alle de 3 dages retter.
