California Pizza Kitchen At Tysons Corner

The food was good, just like every CPK. It's what keeps us coming back! The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was fun.The service was just OK. Our server wasn't very warm or engaging. She seemed a bit bothered, but she got everything correct and refilled our drinks. It could have just been an off day, and it didn't ruin our visit. It was just not what we were accustomed to from CPK staff.The hostess, however, was rude! She wasn't rude to us, but she wasn't friendly. She was very rude to another customer who was dining alone. She tried to seat the customer at a table that was very small for the customer's size and was also in a busy walkway. The customer politely asked if she could sit at another, close by table, and the hostess said it wasn't available, even though no one was sitting there. So the customer asked for another table on the other side of the restaurant, and the hostest suggested she just sit at the tiny table she was standing at. The customer was clearly getting uncomfortable and embarrassed and pointed out a third table that she would prefer. The hostess finally relented, but she was not happy about it. Luckily, the customer's server jumped in and was extra friendly and made her feel welcome and comfortable.It was an uncomfortable situation to watch. The hostess should have been more intuitive and sensitive when seating someone of larger size and someone who was sitting alone. A customer's comfort should be taken into account and accommodated when the restaurant has multiple available tables. It wasn't busy.

Food was exceptional.. I love their salads. Good place also for those with kids. Serving size was good.

Their specialty Korean BBQ pizza was tasty. The dumplings were not very good or authentic. They were slimy and seemed undercooked. The drinks were just okay. They have a pretty limited menu and only one pizza size. It was pretty expensive, $20 for a 6 slice pizza was not worth it. Overall the price point, food quality and menu options don’t make it a place I would return.

It was a busy day but we sat at the bar. Had great service and very fresh food.

I ordered a new salad with salmon and was extremely disappointed with not only its small size, slightly larger than an appetizer salad, but how poorly prepared it was. I immediately returned the plate to the server and told them that anyone would be crazy to pay $17.00 dollars for such a small salad which contained no noticeable salmon. I was told that it was a new menu itemI was so disgusted that they'd have the nerve to sell this lame dish I left the server with a tip since it wasn't her fault and just walked away. I am a frequent CPK diner at Fairfax Corner and can tell you this Tyson location needs help.
