Contribuiți la feedbackCame here on a Wednesday evening with a group of friends for dinner. We had a reservation and I was seated soon after arriving. The restaurant is charming and cozy, with a lower and upper area. The tables and seating are quite close together. I ordered the chicken pot pie. It tasted great and portions were reasonable, although, I felt the price was a bit high.<br/ <br/ Overall, a nice place with with good food. I can see myself returning if I'm ever in the area.
Fab Restaurant Concepts Inc. recently launched its newest establishment, East of Brunswick Pub Kitchen in Toronto. The spacious and laid back pub features of 24 craft beer taps, over 20 different bottles, hand crafted cocktails, wines, traditional and non traditional gourmet pub fare and even a huge shuffleboard table in case you're feeling competitive.<br/ <br/ The food menu has a ton of great options to choose from. If you're feeling ravenous, you could go for the Notorious Chicken Pot Pie which is made in house every morning. If you're watching your diet, there are plenty of hearty salads such as the Superfood Salad which features kale, quinoa, cranberries, sunflower seeds, pomegranate and green curry dressing. <br/ <br/ Almost every day of the week has a food and/or drink special that is definitely worth checking out. My favourite is Wine Down Wednesdays where 6 oz. glasses of wine are $6 and bottles are $26. For food specials, Tuesday is Mac Cheese with Salad for only $14. All of the deals of the day are listed on the website:<br/ <br/ I had a chance to visit East of Brunswick a few weeks ago with my sister and here's what we tried:<br/ <br/ Korean BBQ Wings $14 <br/ <br/ The sauce was tasty but the wings were quite small. I prefer more meaty wings so these were just so so for me.<br/ <br/ Edamame with Salt and Sesame Oil $5<br/ <br/ These were a really great starter! The sesame oil adds amazing flavour to the edamame.<br/ <br/ Non Burger, Burger Black Bean Patty, Swiss Cheese, Guac, Arugula and Chipotle Mayo $13.50<br/ <br/ This vegetarian burger was REALLY tasty and had a great texture to it. It was hearty and very burger like, especially when topped with so many good toppings. <br/ <br/ Buffalo Cauliflower Bites Pretzel crusted Cauliflower Tossed in Frank's and Drizzled with Dill Ranch Sauce $8<br/ <br/ These were crunchy, spicy and full of flavour. Loved the cooling dill drizzle. One of my favourite items!<br/ <br/ East of Brunswick is also open for weekend brunch and I've heard it's quite delicious. I hope to stop by soon for their Buttermilk Pancakes with Strawberries, White Chocolate, Whipped Cream and Maple Syrup. You can also pop by every Thursday to Saturday for a music party with some of Toronto's top DJ's.
I had tried the Grilled Fish Taco from last time’s party and really enjoyed it. This time, however, it was even more delicious than last time! There was a subtle kick of heat from the chipotle aioli that tied everything together so well. The soft tortilla was delicious too.
I went to this restaurant for trivia night and was disappointed by the poor organization and bad questions. However, the drinks were reasonably priced compared to other places in the city and the pizza was surprisingly delicious. In my opinion, the pizza and cheap drinks are worth coming for, but trivia should be skipped.
The staff at this restaurant is extremely welcoming. I had a wonderful experience with affordable prices and delicious drinks and food. I highly recommend this place for any day of the week.
