Contribuiți la feedbackBack in the day, I used to be a regular at this cozy little joint known for serving up a nice bowl of fish head pickled green noodle soup. It was my goto comfort food, a dish that never failed to warm my heart. But then came the age of COVID-19, and with it, a change that I hadn't anticipated. The last few times I visited, I couldn't help but notice that something had shifted in the kitchen. The soup, once a harmonious blend of flavors, had lost its former glory. The fish head, once tender and succulent, now seemed lackluster, and the broth lacked the zesty punch it once had. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it was evident that the quality had taken a nosedive.I've been left wondering whether they hired a new chef or if the pandemic has made it challenging to source the freshest ingredients. It's a pity to see such a beloved dish falter like this.Despite the disappointment, I haven't entirely given up on the place. I'm holding out hope that they'll bounce back, that the fish head pickled green noodle soup will once again reign supreme. Maybe I'll muster the courage to give it another try down the road, hoping to recapture those flavors that used to bring me so much joy.Until then, I'll cherish the memories of those flavorful bowls of soup, hoping for brighter days in the future.
Tucked away on the second floor of Dragon City Mall is a hidden gem that offers delicious Malaysian and Hong Kong dishes. I especially enjoyed the spicy nasi lemak, served with soup and milk tea.
We ordered Malaysian Char Gui Diao and Nasi Lemak. Both were supposed to be spicy but the server gave us the not so spicy ones. Yet, I am still sweating like crazy. Having said that, both tasted great. We loved the food and the service. The dining room was so so but we were there for the food and they were not disappointing. We will certainly be back to try other food, like Hainan chicken rice, Samba shrimp (hope they got the smelly beans, too).
I went to try the baked pork chop with tomato and rice at this restaurant today. It was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it and will definitely go back for more. The food is of good quality and tastes delicious. The Nasi Lemak is spicy, but in a good way. Wow.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the area. I have sampled several of their dishes and they are all delicious. The dine-in option includes a complimentary in-house soup and drink at a reasonable price. The service is typically good, meeting Chinese restaurant standards. Their Hainan chicken is the best in the area. Update: they have recently introduced weekday lunch specials from 11am-3pm.
