Bread And Butter Baguette - Torbay

It 's SO sad when new owners come in and change everything. For more than a decade everything was perfect and it was always exactly the same, excellent food every time. Queues of hungry workers were common. The banter was brilliant. It 's all changed now. The sausages and bacon are no longer freshly cooked or even heated up, they are pulled from a container, lukewarm. Because nothing is hot, the baps and bread are not warm either. I 've been 4 times since they took over to give them a chance but I won 't be going back. This 'was ' the best but is now mediocre at best.

I happened on this eatery by chance in feburary and was very plesently surprised by the price and quality of the Bacon Bap I had, as a bit of a foody I was delighted by the very tasty roll and bacon, my daughter had a cheesy thing which she demolished in short order, I also bought some rolls totake home it was that good. Highly Recommended.

Really nice sandwiches; went in twice during the week to stock up for trips out of Torquay great stuff!

We visited twice during our stay and both times we had missed the corned beef (first time too late, second time too early). The baps were huge and so the second time we chose sandwiches. Would use again if in the area as they're nice and fresh. Staff friendly, service great and premises clean.

Stopped by (once again) for a couple of breakfast sandwiches and once again, the same great food, staff and prices ... I honestly can't fault the service that Simon and his wife provide. A hardworking couple that deserve all the success that deserve! Keep it up Simon (err ... the food that is).
