Tough City Sushi - Tofino

Absolutely awesome sushi, some of the best we have tasted. The menu is extensive with an impressive selection of dishes to suit all pallets, as well as the most comprehensive selection of sake we have seen outside of Japan. The service was exceptional, warm and friendly and attentive at just the right times. Sitting on the balcony you have an opportunity to sample the fantastic views while eating your food. In comparison to some restaurants in the area the prices are very reasonable. Well worth a visit, would highly recommend.

This restaurant is not accommodating to dogs. I called a week in advance to make sure the patio by the water allowed dogs, and they said it did. However, when I arrived, they had changed their policy. They did offer two street tables for us to sit at, but unfortunately, the street was under construction with dirt and dust everywhere. We were left sitting in the sun with no shade. Extremely disappointed as we had dined there before, but will not be returning.

This restaurant offers the best sushi with a stunning view. All of the food is made fresh and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Tofino.

The food was incredible ! A bit pricey BUT it’s an ocean side experience of fresh sushi ! Their signature roll sounds odd but oh my it was delicious.

We arrived at the restaurant before 4:00 and sat at a picnic table, eagerly waiting for it to open. While we waited, we were enjoying some items we had purchased. The owner came out and, in a very rude manner, asked us to leave. Despite explaining that we were waiting for the restaurant to open, he still insisted that we leave. This was the rudest owner we have ever encountered! I have no intention of returning or recommending this place to others.
