We thought we would go around 4 for a late lunch and early dinner but we still waited about 40 minutes. The food came out great. The beef taco was delightful, the fish taco was fantastic ! And the pork and kimchi gringa was really tasty. All in all we enjoyed it. I kind of wish I would have ordered a burrito as they looked massive ! Next time !!
There are 6 Tacofino locations in Vancouver yet surprisingly I have never been to a single one! We actually found this food truck by accident on our first day of Tofino when we were trying to find Chocolate Tofino (which is conveniently in the same area . It must be a local favorite because there were A LOT of people sitting on the seats by the food truck even though it was a rainy day! So we decided to try it before dinner at Shelter Restaurant (we couldn’t wait for dinner, we were sooo hungry! . Of course, we ordered Pork and Kimchi Gringas (we order anything Korean fusion and WOW it was SO GOOD. We were glad we found this little food truck on our first day! We would have tried more if we didn’t already have a dinner reservation! We made a promise that we will come back here for sure for a lunch before we leave for the ferry to try their other menu items Last day we came here for the tacos and burrito, we were not dissappointed! Wish this food truck can teleport to Richmond and make me some lunches I can grab on the go, hehe
Insane lineup for 3pm! We came here for a late lunch and 55 min later got to order, and 25 min later got our food.<br/ <br/ Apparently it's always like this, despite it being a long weekend. I was happy they took credit card too considering it's a food truck! Friendly service. Lots of sitting space to eat. They ran out of the Diablo cookie...bummed since the blend of flavors was super unique (chocolate fudge/chili/ginger?? <br/ <br/ I had their fish taco and chicken gringa. The latter was essentially a quesadilla, pretty greasy but tasty. Their fish taco was packed with ingredients but honestly, I wouldn't have waited 1.5 hrs for these tacos again... It's not that extraordinary. It was great, but not the best I've had. Good value minus the wait time.
Would drive to tofino just for these tacos. The fish tacos are good so are their beef. Their burritos are tasty too. This place literally has the best fish tacos I have ever had. When we go to tofino we have regularly had tacofino for breakfast lunch and dinner and are perfectly fine with it. Go there. Now.
We were told by some that Tacofino was a stop we absolutely had to make. It was tucked in behind some shops with plenty of tables in front. I started off with a Diablo cookie (sometimes I eat my junk food first) and I was shocked. It's a spic my cookie!!! Not meant for everyone but my husband loves them. I had the crispy chicken burrito and it was amazing!!! It wasn't a dried out, deep fried chicken but like a succulent crispy moist juicy chicken! Delicious! My husband ordered the tuna and salmon tacos and they were also delicious! Great place to stop at!
