Cheap sushi at quality prices! We bought from this place on our journeys and was very unimpressed. The salmon sashimi was the only redeeming part. The rest of the sushi felt heavy and tasted like a cheap everything you could eat. Ribs were very fleshy. It's not worth this price.
I really wanted to write something good about this place. As a background, I stopped the pandemic. It developed from a favorite place to one I was afraid to go. I testified and read a lot of criticisms about the arguments between a specific staff...member and customers whenever food issues were addressed. Before pandemic, the buffet part of their menu really went downhill. The offers were blah and did not seem fresh. There seemed to be a restraint to bring additional order sheets; and when second orders were placed items took a long time to come, decisions were shortened or simply not brought. Last week I decided to try them for the first time since the pandemic. I was okay with them who don't offer everything you eat buffet table. And, while it hurt, I sucked it in terms of price increase by $10 more for the weekend menu than pre pandemic. The guy who is either the owner or manager has greeted me at the door and accompanied me to my table. He made me realize that there was no buffet and the price had risen and wanted to make sure that I was okay with it. Good. You can still enjoy everything you eat sushi from the menu and I was happy with the choices available. My order was taken immediately when I was finished and my food came to the table quite quickly. When the waitress was eating, I was mistakenly putting something on the table. I corrected her something not every customer would do in this kind of restaurant. Many customers would simply take the food and then the people who ordered it would be shortened. While I still ate, the manager brought another order form. He was pleasant all the visit. A nice change. I have placed a second order that was also brought out in a reasonable time. When I sat at my table, I heard the manager who offers a selection of soups to the guests at another table. He didn't make me the same offer when he picked up my order. I had to ask for the soup where he offered me a canton or a false soup. I took the misery. If there are items available earlier on the buffet, but which can now be ordered a la carte, they should contain a note in the menu above. I'd like to have some special rice from her house that used to be on the buffet. Although I didn't want dessert, I heard other customers talking to the manager about getting some ice. Small thing, but the communication of these options would help. Overall, I was very happy and very impressed by the entire experience of this visit. An enormous improvement last year or so leads to the pandemic and how it affects these and other restaurants. When they first opened, I went to Tokyo House weekly. But when their service and food quality began to slide, I stopped going so often and just stopped going. While I cannot afford to return to weekly visits, I feel much better about returning to Tokyo House if I have the hunger and money for it in the future. Great work, team!!
Words fail me about this place terrible about the worst food ever in my life the fish was stained and smelled, why beyond it best from date a bite and spitted it out of the noodles smelled of old tired oil....... never again this place should be closed for health reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My experience was very negative. The staff act as if they are doing a huge favour by serving you. The sushi is mediocre and extremely overpriced. I ordered two items and received 12 very small pieces of sushi for $25.00 which was not enough food...for a full meal. I certainly will not order from this restaurant again.
