Rita's Italian Ice - Tempe

I love stopping here, any chance I get for something casting and fresh ice! Always good!

My girlfriend is from Pennsylvania and always raves about how much she loved to go with her family as a child to the Italian ice of Rita and was so excited when we found out that there were also some places here in Arizona! I had never heard of Italian ice cream and had only had Custard once or twice before I went to Rita's. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The person who worked the counter was so nice and helpful, answered every question we had and was very generous with samples. I always feel bad when I rehearse in places because I feel like I'm uncomfortable, but she was so nice about sampling and even told me sampling was encouraged what I was really appreciated as I was a bit overwhelmed as many incredible options they had! My girlfriend got the regular gelati with strawberry and vanilla custard, she was a little cheated at first place that they did not turn their favorite flavor on ice, Swedish fish on that day, but the person working let us know that they turn their flavors daily and they even ask for flavors! So if you know that you want a certain taste on a particular day, let them know and they will make sure that it has on that day! I finished a waffle bowl of Sundae with her new handmade Custard, it was so thick and creamy and I loved the sea salt caramel taste I finished picking. Totally incredible experience. The location itself was so clean and lively, the staff was beautiful and attentive, and the treats were delicious. Amazing experience and one of our new favorite Go to Date places safe!

Wonderful! I liked the new Custard mixes now. The young woman behind the counter was lovely We arrived shortly before the conclusion and she helped us without any problems! We will definitely come back.

The atmosphere of this place is great, the staff was great, but the waffles are OMG... it is so delicious. I can't wait to try all the flavors and espresso over Custard. I would recommend that this your way to sweet treat.

I'm from back East so I'm partial to Rita's, but I am so glad they've moved West. The custard is great and mixing it with all the great ice flavors they change daily mixes things up. Also, compared to a lot of other dessert places nowadays, their prices are reasonable for a treat.
