We had a lovely Sunday breakfast at The Lord Nelson. It was really good value for money and we were made to feel very welcome by Lesley Pete as always. Lesley was happy to accommodate our individual requirements which made it super scrummy. Will definitely be back!

The owners have been at this restaurant for just over a year. While they no longer offer mid-week food, they are still well-known locally for their Sunday lunches. With seating for only about 17 people, they also offer takeaway Sunday lunches. Lesley, the chef, is willing to cook something special for customers if requested in advance. We ordered the beef curry and it was superb, with generous portions and served with poppadoms, naan bread, lime pickle, and mango chutney. The prices are also very reasonable. They offer two real ales, Fullers London Pride and St Austell Tribute, both in excellent condition. Timothy Taylor's Landlord was not yet available but expected soon. The staff, including the friendly and helpful landlady, create a welcoming atmosphere in this small yet charming village inn. Street parking is available in the area.
