Hawaiian food is not your forte cooks. Cooks food is usually 4-5 star but this is not there cuisine.

The lack of front end/hostess left much to be desired. After an understandable and expected lengthy wait, we were skipped (almost twice). Thankfully, once we were seated at a table the service was great. Wait staff anticipated refills and checked in often. The food was as good as we'd anticipated. Don't come hangry or expecting fast service... But if you do come... Wait it out. It IS that good.

We went here because we have had very good previous experiences. A very positive thing was that they worked with us to accommodate my grandson's allergies. He loved the piece of grilled chicken he got and the green beans. Unfortunately we had been told there would be white rice for him, but it had coconut in it (coconut/lime) and he couldn't have it. My pork chop came too rare to eat, so I sent it back. Even the second time it came out with one very pink section. On a positive note, the coffee was excellent and our server gave refills, having brewed us a pot of decaf. The desserts were delicious, though the bake-to-order cookie came in a very hot dish that I thought was too hot to set in front of a 7-year-old. I am sure we'll be back, but I was disappointed by a few things. Dietary restrictions: They worked with us on dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids' menu.

This is my favorite place in Tacoma for breakfast! They have an amazing menu that rotates every season to represent different places in the world. My first time going it was an Argentina theme with a menu that featured dishes from that region. Then it was the Mississippi Delta, and now it’s Hawaiian themed. The food is really elevated favorites plus unique dishes from around the world. The art on display is tied to the menu theme and is also available for purchase!! I Love this hidden gem!! Vegetarian options: I had the cleanup on isle 12 which is a vegetarian plate and it was DELICIOUS! option to add chorizo for meat lovers. 10/10
