Sorry to say that I won’t be ordering any future cakes from this location! Here’s the short version of this fiasco. Ordered a specific writing on a cake and they decided to change it on their own without letting us know. After the correction over the phone, went to pickup the cake where it was still not correct and the baker had already left. Thankfully the Spanish lady was kind enough to assist in writing the verbiage. All was good except when we cut into the cake, there were NO fresh strawberries in the filling! This was something I paid for as well… The contact person on the phone in the beginning was rude and made the assumption that “I” was wrong, but then retracted her mood when I told her that I personally wrote what I wanted on the cake. Too much drama to experience for a very expensive purchase… Not asking for a partial refund because I paid extra for strawberries I didn’t get…just not using them anymore in the future! BTW…the cake was delicious but staff inadequate …

I ordered a cake about 2 weeks before my event. I explained to her in detail and showed a picture of how I wanted my cake .The older lady who takes the orders assured me that the cake will look exactly like I showed her . I even sent Editable images to her to make sure they have everything that's needed to make sure my order was correct. Fast forward to the day of to pick up The cake 5hrs before the event , the cake they showed was HORRIBLE AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EVEN WORSE . They tried to place blame on us because we didn't know they had a SMALL PRINTER and it wouldn't print an image that large in size . The Cake Wasn't worth $163 Dollars . My mother was a customer for over 30 years , we will definitely FIND A NEW BAKERY . What we wanted Vs What they Showed vs what we was forced to leave with

Gambino's is a New Orleans staple. As a child, no birthday went by without a cake from Gambino's. As an adult I still come here at least once a week and I bring my own children in for a treat. Hands down the best bakery in the city and the staff are amazing!

Purchase a cake for my granddaughter Sweet 16th Celebration. Well the cake turn out stale. Call the following Monday advise them. The cake was stale. Told me the manager that’s Handel the situation is out of town.Call back Thursday. Call back Thursdays. The manager is still out until next Thursday. Spoke to a lady she said nothing she can do. Because the manager had an emergency. Okay I purchase the cake pick it up on the 14 th . Which was on a Sunday. Today is the 27 th of July. Hasn’t receive a call. So I call now the manager want be back until Monday. The second I forgot the lady on the phone said she will call the owner. And call me back. Well no call . Several people that I have spoken to had the same issue. Unprofessional isn’t the word to describe thier action. Yes I have taken enough everyone I know . Will not patronize Gambino’s Bakery.

The absolute best doberge cake , my favorite is the chocolate and lemon. Also Great King Cakes. Wonderful Wedding Cakes. I just love them All.
