Contribuiți la feedbackThis is the best place in Syosset hands down. TOP QUALITY and 5 STAR SERVICE! Honestly, this place is slam dunk from the moment you walk in you are treated like family. Every single thing chef Ronaldo puts on that plate is to die for. Nothing but the best ingredients make for a stellar experience. Everything is hand made, even the desserts! Maira makes the experience from start to finish, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
LOCATION: near jericho turnpike off jacksonville rd. Parking in a very small lot.DECOR: small inside, only about 12 tables and seating at a full bar.FOOD: ordered guacamole for an app generous serving and tasty. For dinner we ordered beef enchiladas and steak fajitas. Enchiladas were tasty, generous portion size and amount of beef. Rice and beans were pretty standard. Fajitas were good, had a nice flavoring. Steak was cooked well, not chewy. Could have used more peppers, it was mainly onions. Came with two flour tortillas, could have used one or more of those. Also came with side of guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice and beans. Sides were standard, good size portions.SERVICE: Good. No wait to sit at 7pm on a Saturday. Waitress was friendly and efficient, food came out in a timely manner. There was an error on the dessert menu so the one we ordered was complimentary, which was very nice of them and we appreciated.I don't frequent this area often, but if I come back near here I would return to this restaurant!
First time at their new Syosset location, what a great place!Nicely renovated with Mexican themed music playing. The server was super friendly and attentive and the chef/owner comes around and greets his diners. The guacamole was fantastic, the best we've ever had. The zucchini sticks were fantastic, the best we've ever had. Great chips and salsa too.The chicken burrito Costenas were excellent, very well made, this isn't your typical burrito loaded with rice and beans. The chicken parm was proper, nice cutlets topped with delicious sauce and the right amount of mozzarella cheese. Can't say anything was a disappointment, we'll be back for sure. A restaurant not noticed by the surrounding area's foodies, get there and see for yourself.
At last, good Mexican food!!! Ok, in all fairness, I haven't tried all the places around here, but when you have some picky eaters, it can be a bit difficult.Anyway, the whole Mexican/Italian thing threw me off at first, not because I thought it was fusion, but because I thought too many different things on the menu can mean they do everything badly. But the (few) reviews were good and I was in the mood. What can I say, it was goooood! I think what clinched it was there were a bunch of appetizers that we both wanted to try, and they had fajitas, which I always like.Service was excellent, I would give more stars if I could. So everything was really good. Personal preference we like lots more lime (especially the guacamole and the shrimp ceviche) and everything needed more seasoning. We liked the little kick from the jalepenos in the ceviche. The pico de gallo was a bit heavy on the onion, but I still liked it because I had it wrapped up in my tortilla, mixed with everything else. Also normally I don't like refried beans, but I took his beans home to eat with my other stuff!I felt a bit like it might be sacrilegious when I asked for Chollula, which they didn't have, but they have HOME MADE HOT SAUCE. Get it! My fajitas were missing something, and this was it. I can't quite describe it, other than it was a little spicy, and was exactly what I wanted. Actually I should have tried adding it to the guacamole, which I will, when I eat my leftovers (ok yes, I took home half of my fajitas because I got full on appetizers, but now I get to eat more at midnight)! If none of these things convinced you, maybe this last bit will really reasonable prices and generous portions.
Very good food and drinks but the service provided by the bartender Nick was amazing. Made my first time here amazing and would totally return!
