Contribuiți la feedbackMy wife wanted to try this Italian themed restaurant on the Circular Quay. That said we stoped in. The hostess asked where we wanted to sit and as it was...
Very obvious tourist trap, but what can one expect when the view is this spectacular? Stopped here for a quick drink and rest. Servers are very friendly,...
Fantastic location, delicious food, and highly attentive service (thank you, Ayu) are Eastbank's signature. We'll definitely visit again.
Just near the bank, the point is really good! And pasta we ordered is just so so, the fillet steak is very tender, however a little bit smell of burnt food. And the waiters are not very in time.
A work colleague and good friend of mine recommended that we grab an early dinner at Eastbank, after having had positive experiences there in the past. We were seated promptly, and managed to snag a table towards the front of the restaurant, closest to the water. This particular evening was a bit grey and dreary, however, it meant that Circular Quay and the restaurant were not quite as busy as they usually would be, and really, regardless of the weather (provided it's not bucketing down!), it is hard to fault the spectacular view of the harbour! For the duration of our patronage, the service was efficient and polite, and made the dining experience very easy. As a lover of all things meat, I opted for the Di Carne pizza, containing N’Duja spicy salami, prosciutto and roast chicken. As far as pizzas go, this was definitely one of the better ones. The base was nicely cooked, and was neither crispy nor doughy/'bready', but rather, a happy medium, and the sauce itself was good, if fairly unexciting. The meat combination also worked effectively - the chicken was tender, the prosciutto was nicely flavoured (though did not have the same 'fall apart'/'melt in your mouth' flavour that the best prosciuttos have), and the spicy salami was extremely tasty (though unfortunately, it was a bit sparse, as you can see in the pictures). Although I am not a big coffee drinker, I was quite tired after my day at work, and opted for a post-dinner cappuccino to perk me up. I was extremely satisfied with my choice, which was smooth, velvety, and slightly (but not overpoweringly) sweet. Overall, Eastbank provided me and my colleague with a very good, casual Italian meal, and if you happen to be around Circular Quay, it's definitely worth checking out.
