Sheep Mountain Lodge - Sutton

Just went to the restaurant and had great lunchtime. Large food with lots of vegetables options also available. Service was really nice. The hotel is located in such a remote area kudos for entire staff to provide food for all visitors. Do not have the opportunity to stay in this place, but if we visit Alaska will definitely stay here. Beautiful landscapes and helicopter tours Availability from here also

I want to start saying? Sheep Mountain Lodge was the best place I was in Alaska all the time. The staff was the best I came across the whole trip? they were all very pleasant and friendly. They were more than willing to help make your stay pleasant. I was on a motorcycle tour. One of my Bucket List elements was to run on a glacier. When I arrived at the lodge, I saw that they had a helicopter and made tours to the glacier. I checked a flight to the glacier, but I was told they were done for the day. I was cheated? Remember, I said the staff was friendly and wanted to help you enjoy your stay, good David I think) saw that I was cheated, he made a call, in contact with Mark owners of Lodge/Pilot) told him I was looking for a glacier tour and Mark said safe and away I went. David/Mark could have said. done for the day? but instead they did it and I could check an article from my Bucket List. Mark's knowledge about glaciers was phenomenal, he was more than willing to share his knowledge and answer all my questions. My cabin #2 was fabulous. It has a great look and finally the views/sights were the reason why I went to Alaska. It is the view I think most when I reflex on my trip. The restaurant was excellent, with a wide selection of dishes. The desert I had was cake and it was made on site. When I come back to Alaska? No doubt I'm going back to Sheep Mountain Lodge!

My wife and I were on our honeymoon of Erie, PA and we made a helicopter tour that landed on a glacier! Words cannot even describe how beautiful it was. Our pilot and other staff were very friendly and made sure we were safe at any time. The pilot even flew over a few mooses and bears that we wanted to see on our honeymoon. Good money.

We had dinner at the lodge after a glacier experience this day. The leaders recommended it and they were not wrong... Food was amazing, and most likely the best cake in Alaska!! The employees were fabulous in the recommendation of items for us from the menu, and the cook obviously takes a lot of pride on the dishes... well done team!!

This is a wonderful place. The owner is awesome, super helpful and nice. The cabins are great, location is excellent and the restaurant is the best we had in my entire 2 weeks trip to Alaska, even though we went to 5 stars restaurants. Food is excellent and everyone is super nice. We also took a helicopter ride with the owner to a glacier and landed there next to a amazing blue lake. This was the highlight of my trip. Don?t miss this place, it is superb.
