Tokyo Bird - Surry Hills

The worst experience I ever had in my life, thanks to his rude staff and terrible service. I went there last Friday with a friend after work. my friend felt a little dizzy in this little crowded place after one. when I asked one of the waitresses if we could trade a place and get a hot drink, as my friend felt a bit uncomfortable, she said she had to check with her manager. after a few minutes you came back with a take-off box and said that you're friend drunk and you have to go. get a taxi, take the rest and go. my friend and I were literally shocked, how kind and helpful she was as so-called manager in this restaurant. then this female manager came back to our table after my friend went to the ladies. this time she brought our bill and said that her time is up so that they must go, a taxi and take her rest. my friend and I sat there, eat and chat less than an hour. that is absolutely incredible, rude and unprofessional. when I paid my bill, the female manager said to my friend that oh it seems that they are not drunk sad that I was told by my staff that they are.

Great food. ideally spectacular. good choice of Japanese whiskey too. the jap beer selection can be somewhat more complicated. would draw a doubt of waihout. just a little expensive.

This place is fantastic eating the drinks and the personal. ask them for recommendations and get them perfect advice would go back at any time

My wife and I came here for a (same) datenight. really incredible eating, great atmosphere and mood. then I got the whisky list out. even if the Japanese whisky is not your ding, there is something for everyone. I can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I came to Tokyo Bird upon the recommendations of quite a few of our friends. This place was so far beyond what we expected. The food was fantastic, the drinks were outstanding and so much better than the usual fare around the...area. Most importantly, we have never, ever experienced such good service in our lives. We are so impressed by the place. We were privileged enough to sit at the bar in front of Andrew, who looked after us, gave us a good chat, made us some great personalised drinks and also let us taste a few of the venues' specialties. We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much for an exceptional evening out. And thanks again Andrew you made our night really special. Dave Isabella.
