Da Franco - Stuttgart

I have never experienced anything like this! We usually went to Da France when we visited Stuttgart. The service was never fantastic but the location and food made up for it. Six weeks ago was the first time that we went with our two year...old son for some dinner. We were told to keep the child quite and that the child needs to be kept at the back (where we were sitting) by the very grumpy owner. The owner made us feel so uncomfortable and did not care about us as costumers, he was very rude and impolite. Our son wasn't crying or wandering around by himself. We were showing him the restaurant while we were waiting for the food. But even if he did cry, you do not treat costumers like this, who are you to tell me to keep my child quite?! I am still shocked and angry about this. Restaurants like this one should not exist!

We almost left before we had ordered, because the waiter was so impatient and kept leaving our table during the order. I speak German and asked him if he had drinks and main courses. He said yes, but we were drinks down...and of us had finished eating before the seventh meal was served! Spoilt the whole evening. The food was delicious, but the staff need to give their customers their full attention.

Food was OK...but not as good as awaited. The starter plates artichoke mozarella disappointed the main dish was average. In my opinion Da Franco deserves not a good price/performance rating. There are better alternatives in Stuttgart for Italian food.

Da Franco is the best Italian restaurant in Stuttgart I know. The food is really excellent, price moderate. It is located in the very center of the city, but simultaneously silent side street, there are tables inside and ourside building. I visit da Franco at...every occasion and strongly recommend it to you.

Sat on one of the tables outside. We had two of the set menus. I had a rocket salad with prawns, followed by guinea fowl in a truffle cream sauce with spinach. This was washed down with a glass of Primitivo. Simply fantastic ! The...other menu was a starter of mozzarella and tomato salad followed by chicken breast in a white wine and sage butter sauce. Can only recommend you give this place a try, you won't hopefully be disappointed !
