The starters and main dishes we tried were delicious and we will have to visit a few more times to determine if it surpasses the revamped Shipston Bengal, which is a strong contender.
We have followed this much-loved Indian restaurant from Stratford to Shipston-on-Stour, and the extra drive is definitely worth it. The food is delicious, and the staff has been friendly for over 20 years. The new location, attached to a pub, is smaller than before, so they have had to reduce the number of covers. However, we find the cozy atmosphere inviting and will continue to dine here. We expect they will return to Stratford soon, as they only left due to new road development on their previous plot. Our dining experience tonight was excellent, with fast service and consistently high-quality curry. Thank you.
We have been coming to Cafe Chutneys for 20 years and have over this time tied Indian food all around Stratford upon Avon and the surrounding areas.but we still believe this is still the best Indian restaurants! Not only is the food amazing you always have a very friendly welcoming experience. Make sure you try Cafe Chutneys.
We did not make a reservation, but were still greeted warmly at the restaurant. It is quite spacious, making it ideal for accommodating large groups. The menu and wine selection was extensive, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a pleasant evening overall. If you are not a local, it is recommended to have a car to reach the restaurant as they have a large parking lot. The only downside was that the chutneys we ordered appeared to be old and lacked flavor, hence the rating of 4 out of 5.
