I would give this place 6 or 7 stars if there were extra stars to do this. I have lived in the valley since 2003 and am happy to report to all you yelpers out there looking for a good quality, home style and reasonably priced, BBQ that's delicious to the bone you've found it! Supporting family owned businesses is something that I have learned over the years of living here. Having lived in SF bay area, where there's so many choices has made me appreciate the smaller things in life and having pride with what Stockton and the central valley has to offer. If you are new to this place, I recommend trying their combination platter that comes with an array of bbq'd items: slices of Tri tip, pork ribs, chicken, jalapeno wrapped in bacon popper (JBP) and a hot link. I order a side of Spanish rice and another order of the JPB of like 10 pieces. Each JPB cost a minimal $1.25. BBQ times are usually from 11 4 p.m. Check the schedule for accuracy. For those who have written bad reviews on this place must be really quite random because through the 18 years that I've lived in the area, I still go to this place even though I am no longer in Stockton. There are no places in the Mountain House Tracy/Livermore area like this! Thank you Carniceria La Sierra for your wonderful service to our community! Keep up the great work!

One of the top spots for delicious food in Stockton, CA! I absolutely love the BBQ and the jalapeños wrapped in bacon. The food is incredibly fresh and authentic. The staff is wonderful too—so friendly and helpful!

I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s definitely the best BBQ in Stockton at great prices! The quality and portion sizes are excellent. The staff is usually very friendly as well. However, I have to mention that one staff member was not so pleasant. I don’t know her name, but I’ll find out. I really hope I don’t get her to take my order again; she had a bad attitude and was rude and unprofessional.
