Grand Escalier - Stockholm Sverige

Great place for a drink after work or for partying at Fridays and weekends. The restaurant offers a quite boring menu, but their outdoors bar and serving is fantastic. Located in a inner courtyard this place becomes even more amazing during the summer season and late summer nights. For being a restaurant/bar in the Stureplan area in Stockholm they actually have a reasonable price range on their food and drinks. Would recommend the place for having drinks in a nice atmosphere but not for their food.

I really like this as an upscale lunch restaurant it has a nice atmosphere, great service, textile napkins and all that jazz. Lunch of the day is 129 SEK. I have been here a few times trying different dishes and only been disappointed with the burger, which had a nice spicy seasoning but was dry and cold.

Expensive and not very attentive staff. I asked if I could exchange the potatoes for a tomato salad, they said yes but added the cost of the tomato salad on top of the main dish. I asked for a house wine and was served another wine which was 50% more expensive. We ordered also order the Sichuan duck, which was cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend ordering that. Not sure if I would go back.

Found Escalier last year and ever since, it just got better. Its an upscale lounge and restaurant inside Sturegallerian with an uniqe french decor and inner courtyard to cool of during summernights. They just opened a new cocktailbar which can provide you with some really advanced stuff if you want. There are a lot of seats, inside and out, but to get a table outside you better hookup with the goddess of fortune or be there early. There are several entrances, but far from everybody knows about this place. Dont be intimidated if it rains, their outside patio has a sliding roof which provides protection if needed. Presumably a great stop to grab a drink, before continuing the night somewhere else. So grasp the opportunity to go here, especially during summer, its a great place to meet friends and mingle.

Love it here. Been 3 times. Very chill vibe, good food at good prices and there's a cute outside patio that I love during summer. Staff is great. I wouldn't recommend dinner on weekends as it can get cheesy. Best part is the pear cider they serve. So f
