Contribuiți la feedbackI bought a carrot raisin cookie at the Union square farmers market and it was the most bland cookie I've ever had in my life. I struggled to break it apart because the cookie was SO tough. I paid $5 for it and I couldn't eat more than a a bite. I was shocked by how truly bad it was.
YELP- please correct the Breezy Hill Orchard website address (it is wrong) : It is important that people know who these reviews belong to. I just spent $19 for three things at the Millbrook Farmer 's Market. 3 Apple Cider Donuts , 1 mini or as it was called tart Pumpkin Pie (think about 3 inches or less in diameter) and what was supposed to be an apple raspberry cobbler crumb thing. I wish I would have looked at this site but I have never had a bad experience until this one at the Millbrook Farmer 's Market. Anyway, the apple cider donuts were tasteless and in serious need of sugar. Pumpkin tart was decent but maybe 6 or 7 dollars. The apple raspberry thing was horrible. It tastes so bad that I am wondering if it is stale. The woman was very pleasant. Never again. I find the Millbrook Farmer 's Market very expensive anyway (particularly grossly overpriced pumpkins) but usually the quality from other vendors is decent to good.
We love getting their Strawberry Rhubarb pies from the local the farmers market! One of the best pies I’ve ever had!!
Man are you kidding me?! We work hard for our money. Then to come home with a bunch of dried tasteless apple cider donuts making the Bryant Park experience a sour one. Wish I checked the ratings prior. Places like this purely live of the one time buyers (for no one will come a second time). That means catering towards tourists who eat dirty water dogs and unspecified meat on sticks to fill a stomach on the go. Places like this do not deserve my patronage. They can wither away like the newest covid strain. Garbage!
I paid $15 for six apple cider donuts at the Bryant Park Winter Village, which is an outrageous price. I had visitors in town, and I wanted to treat them to something special that they couldn't find back home. However, not only was the price excessive for the mediocre, misshapen, and frankly disappointing donuts, but when I checked my electronic receipt later that night, I discovered they had added a 15% surcharge! The note at the bottom of my receipt stated: "We currently add a 15% Service Charge to all credit card transactions in lieu of tips. These funds are used to offset credit card fees, and to support our farm staff and farm operation." Really? This is a store where I simply picked up a box of donuts and paid at the register. There shouldn't be a mandatory tip added! To make matters worse, I was at a Green Market in the Soho area on Monday and found a vendor selling very similar donuts for just $5 a box. Lesson learned—never again.
