The Fifth Ticket - St. John's

I am currently in St. John's for a few days and have been pleasantly surprised by the food options available. Despite being a small city, there is a wide variety of choices to choose from.

After visiting our usual favorite restaurants during this trip, we decided to try something new and opted for a light meal at this restaurant on a Sunday evening.

We absolutely adored this restaurant! I had a team visiting for a brief sales event, and I treated my team to a wonderful dinner.

I had to deduct two stars for a couple of reasons. Service was slow and inconsistent. Took about 25 minutes to pay after receiving the bill. Asked for a condiment with our meals and it never arrived (server forgot, I guess). Couldn't grab her to let her know. Restaurant was kinda busy. Atmosphere is great. Drinks were fantastic. Polenta fries are amazing. Veggie burger + fries were decent. Friend had the brisket, which was a little different than the brisket we've had elsewhere. It was very salty and almost like salt meat...maybe due to the brine? It wasn't great for the price. I'll be back for drinks & the polenta fries alone.

My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our meal here. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, very good food. Tables along the windows are great for people-watching.on Water Street. George, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The only reason for 4, not 5, stars, was the pricing - pretty high. But definitely recommended.
