Contribuiți la feedbackI traveled from chainring to flamstead (and brandyate to play the organ at the 2 churches around 0715. I had booked a meal in this pub on facebook in advance. I was sure ready for Sunday afternoon until 1240 and it wasn't. it came fast (I came in before the rush and was nice and hot. there was a surprisingly large but welcome selection of vegetables; a small amount of each (swede carrot, cauliflower (cheese, cauliflower, cauliflower, pfarrer, I forgot the others! 3 bratspitschen, Yorkshire doll and some fill with the 2 slices of gammon grit. a clean plate was returned. the following apple crumb was delicious and absolutely perfect. I think this place has just changed the hands and it wasn't the karvery set-up shown in the pictures. I was also hit by the polite way a young waitress asked a few (which only wanted to drink to move out of the escaping area that was very busy.
Went for Sunday Roast, wasn’t the best and only warm, even the extra gravy wasn’t hot. Won’t be returning.
Absolutely delicious Sunday roast. The pub had a welcoming atmosphere and the staff were extremely polite and very accommodating. I can recommend the roast especially the beef. We ordered extra Yorkshire puddings as they were so yummy. Very child friendly too!
Amazing home cooked sunday carvery, easily the best Roast I have had anywhere locally. The warm chocolate brownie and icecream was the best I have ever tasted and it's my go to pudding! Staff are really friendly and make you feel really welcome which can...be unusual in a village pub! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
The staff was nice and pleasant. great location. really well appreciated. many different drinks, will try to eat next time I stay in the opposite. looked outside in the sunshine. was really bad. will return. the only small feedback I can give is...small garden care in outdoor seating and it is possible to replace few outside benches. except this beautiful place.
