Cinnamon - St Albans

Just brilliant from the popadums to the main course, 10 out of 10. The prawn purée starter and the prawn Dhansak was out standing with lots of depth to the flavours with bit of a kick but not over powering. Friendly staff and the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance with the sound of authentic Indian music in the background to set the mood.

We adore this restaurant and always visit when craving curry. The staff is friendly and we enjoy their company. The food is consistently delicious - we consider it a true hidden gem!

I have eaten here a lot over the years. Used to be a lot better. Service and food now well below par.

Saw this is a top ten list online for Herts Indians. Top Ten Indians for People Who 've Never Eaten Indian Food and Enjoy Long Waits perhaps? Nearly a 2 hour wait for two courses and not that busy. Clueless waiter. Couldn 't attract staff 's attention for love nor money. Spicy dish had a sauce reminiscent of Dolmio. Dhall was like sweetened porridge. Small portions of everything. Only nice thing was naan bread but even this was sugary. This was like visiting an Indian restaurant in the late eighties, where you had no appreciation of quality you were excited because it was different. Really poor experience. Bad food, bad service. Don 't go.

Visited last week. Very pleasant meal, but not busy and therefore no atmosphere . Will go back, but hopefully it will be busier.
